Tripbase Connector for ChatGPT & Claude
The connector is temporarily unavailable. We have taken it offline while we add authenticated access. Requests to the connector endpoint currently return a 503.
The first version was open to anyone with no account and no sign-in. That was the right way to launch it and the wrong way to leave it: it also made Tripbase’s full destination corpus available for bulk extraction, which is not what the connector is for. It will return with credentialed sign-in through the standard connector authorization flow, so ChatGPT and Claude users can still connect in a couple of clicks.
What it will do when it returns
A Model Context Protocol (MCP) server giving AI assistants read-only access to Tripbase’s travel data: ~2,000 scored destinations, true cost-of-travel estimates, an experiential similarity engine, head-to-head comparisons, visa requirements, and trust-scored venues.
search_destinations— Find best-fit destinations by budget, climate, month, region, type, and interests.get_destination— Structured overview of one destination: safety, budget tiers, best months, headline scores.find_similar_destinations— ‘More places like X’, ranked by Tripbase’s experiential similarity engine.compare_destinations— Head-to-head comparison: biggest differences, budget gap, climate, editorial verdict.get_cost_of_travel— True all-in cost — taxes, resort fees, transfers, visas, eSIM, daily spend, tipping.check_visa— Entry/visa requirement for a passport visiting a destination, with max stay.get_venues— Trust-scored restaurants, cafes, bars, attractions, hotels, and spas for a destination.
Terms of use
When the connector returns, access will require credentials we issue and will be governed by our Terms of Use. In particular, connector access is read-only, does not grant the right to redistribute or bulk-extract the corpus, and does not include rights to train or fine-tune AI models on Tripbase’s content, which are licensed separately.
